Why there is no cookie banner
Because there is nothing here to ask you about. This site sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies of any kind, and it loads no third-party script that could set one. The law requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary; every cookie here is strictly necessary, so a banner would be a pop-up asking permission for something that needs none.
What is actually stored
When you sign in, our authentication provider sets session cookies in your browser —
their names begin with sb-. They hold the token that proves to the server
that you are you, and without them every page would forget you the moment you opened
the next one.
- Purpose: keeping you signed in, and keeping paid material paid.
- Lifetime: they last while the session does, and are refreshed as you keep using the site. Signing out deletes them.
- Shared with: nobody. They are read by this site's server, and by nothing else.
If you never sign in, this site sets no cookies at all. You can read the blog, the blueprints, the roadmaps and every course description without one.
Cookies you meet at checkout
Paying for a course takes you to Lemon Squeezy, which sells it to you and runs on its own domain with its own cookies, under its own privacy policy. We do not control those and they are not set by this site.
Getting rid of them
Signing out removes them. So does clearing cookies for packetgb.com in your browser settings, or refusing them altogether — with the honest warning that refusing them means you cannot stay signed in, and therefore cannot open a course you have bought.
If this changes
Adding analytics later would mean adding a real consent banner, and this page would say so before the first cookie was set. The date at the top is when it was last true.
